Point32Health recognized as one of the most community-minded organizations in the country

Named by Points of Light to The Civic 50 for fourth time

May 14, 2024

Canton, MA — Point32Health was named to Points of Light’s The Civic 50, a list of the country’s top socially responsible organizations, for the fourth time. The Civic 50 is the national standard for corporate citizenship and showcases how leading companies are moving social impact and community into their practices, values and core business.

“Community is at the center of this recognition and integrated in all we do,” said Cain Hayes, president and CEO of Point32Health. “Point32Health colleagues demonstrate our community of care through our service and giving programs. Our Foundation invests consistently in the communities where we live and work. And across our organization, we advance diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, and prioritize environmental sustainability initiatives—all to create healthier lives for everyone.”

In 2023, Point32Health and the Point32Health Foundation gave nearly $15 million in grants, matching gifts, sponsorships, volunteer time, in-kind and other contributions to support nonprofit organizations in local communities. Colleagues volunteered 11,489 hours, valued by Independent Sector at nearly $460,000.

“Expectations for companies to be leaders in civic engagement continue to increase,” said Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO, Points of Light. “Point32Health demonstrates how to maximize the full range of their assets – from people power to policy to financial contributions – to meet pressing needs and create thriving communities where they live and work. We’re thrilled to uplift and celebrate them as an honoree of The Civic 50 2024.”

Point32Health was one of only five New England-based companies named to the list, and was recognized alongside Fortune 500 companies, including AFLAC, Capital One, Comcast NBCUniversal, Delta Air Lines, General Mills, and The Hershey Company.

Honorees are companies with annual U.S. revenues of at least $1 billion and are selected based on four dimensions of their corporate citizenship and social impact programs: investment of resources and volunteerism, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies, and systems and impact measurement.

The Civic 50 survey is administered by True Impact, and the results are analyzed by VeraWorks. The survey instrument consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform the scoring process. The Civic 50 is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate community engagement.
