Support for emergency food response and food justice efforts across the region. Funds support general operations including staff salaries, volunteer management, food purchase and distribution.

Support general operations, the purchase of fresh and non-perishable food, fuel costs for distribution, and staff salaries. Funds also will go to advocacy efforts that promote system and policy changes addressing root causes of hunger and are aligned with the National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition and Health.

Healthy Food Access

To expand the Farm-to-Pantry program by supporting farmers’ ability to harvest excess produce for donation to food pantries through the Food Bank network, increasing the amount of fresh produce by 150,000 pounds in the first year. Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation grant.

COVID-19 Response Grants

Tufts Health Plan Foundation made an additional $1 million available to nonprofit organizations to support community efforts addressing coronavirus in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
