CANTON, MA – Point32Health Foundation today announced $40,000 in grants to eight nonprofit organizations working to address inequities, support veterans and improve access to nutritious food across the region.

Leaders of Point32Health’s eight Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs) worked with the Foundation to identify and recommend community nonprofits aligned with the CRGs’ affinities; each received a $5,000 grant.

“Our work with colleagues demonstrates our care and commitment to community,” said Caitlin Sullivan, the Point32Health Foundation program officer who leads the collaboration with the CRGs. “Engaging colleagues in this process leverages their deep knowledge of the people we serve and creates opportunities for greater community connection.”

The one-year grants go to:

Dignity Matters (Framingham, Mass.), nominated by the Women & Allies Network CRG, for addressing access to women’s health care.

Empowering People for Inclusive Communities (EPIC) (Boston, Mass.), nominated by the Young Professional Network CRG, for addressing positive youth development, career readiness, financial planning and mental well-being.

Hartford Promise (Hartford, Conn.), nominated by the Black Professionals CRG, for advancing education for youth of color.

Homes For Our Troops (Taunton, Mass.), nominated by the Military Veterans CRG, for providing support to active duty and veteran service members.

Team IMPACT (Quincy, Mass.), nominated by the Abilities + CRG, for addressing issues facing youth and young adults with disabilities.

Point32Health accelerates its diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility culture through its CRGs, which are open to all colleagues within Point32Health.  CRG members help to shape an inclusive work environment, create space for dialogue and learning across differences, share business insights, and provide development, networking and mentoring opportunities. More than 30% of Point32Health colleagues are members of CRGs.
